Electric powered scooters: For the seventh consecutive year,
Pride Mobility Product Corp., the world's leading designer
and manufacturer of personal mobility equipment, such as the
Jazzy Power Chair Line, scooters, and lift chairs, in conjunction
with National Seating and Mobility, the nation's largest provider
of specialized re/habilitation technology products, will be
providing complimentary Pride 4-wheel Victory electric scooters
for the elderly and those with disabilities at the US Open.
The US Open, a national championship conducted by the USGA
(United States Golf Association) will be held Thursday, June
17th to Sunday, June 20th at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club
in Southampton, New York. This electronic scooter rental service
will be available throughout the championship. The electric
motor scooters will be located at the Disabled Service facility
located at the St. Andrews Admission gate and will be available
on a first come, first serve basis, no advanced reservations
will be taken. Special viewing areas for disabled spectators
will be provided at various locations around the course.
